And so we start

I've dabbled in words for most of my life. Writing secret stories in notebooks hidden under my mattress and tucked into the backs of drawers was the pastime of my youth after discovering the joy of reading.  Being fully immersed in a captivating story is still one of my favorite places to be. Sometimes I'm immersed in more than one story at once, but I feel like its a good brain exercise and it keeps me sharp. Plus some books take longer to process than others. Its rare that I find myself not immersed in any story and when this is the case, I feel decidedly out of sorts and not myself.  I hope to put some words out there into the universe and a blog seems like a good place to start so, here it goes. Let's do this.
